Updates to the Team at CFCM

Driving the next generation towards zero carbon

The Centre for Future Clean Mobility partners with businesses to develop low-emissions, high-efficiency integrated power systems for applications in the aerospace, automotive, marine, and rail sectors.

We are excited to announce Joe Wright will be taking on the role of Experimental Officer at CFCM.We also have a new member of our team, Debbie Ironside-Smith who joins us as the new Senior Administrator.

Joe Wright, Experimental Officer.

Joe has a wide range of skills that he will be bringing to his new position as Experimental Officer. Originally starting with a very practical background in welding and fabrication he then moved on to complete a BSc in Automotive engineering and an MSc in Racing Engine systems. Since then, he has helped CFCM to develop cutting edge control systems for hybrid fuel cell electric powertrains, enabling him to develop his CAN bus and Simulink skills. Now he will continue this work and in conjunction run the dynamometer testing facility at CFCM. 

Debbie Ironside-Smith, Senior Administrator.

Debbie previously worked at the Strategy and Security Institute at the University of Exeter as Institute Manager, responsible for planning and executing a wide range of events, including conferences, seminars, and workshops, and managing the day to day running of the Institute.
