Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) aim to help organisations improve their competitiveness and productivity through better use of the knowledge, technology and skills held within the UK knowledge base.
The pioneering collaboration between the Centre for Future Clean Mobility (CFCM) and SC Innovation-Global was hugely successful. The collaboration started with engineering students doing projects on real life problems at SC Innovation, which then grew to a Knowledge Transfer Partnership awarded to Supacat and the University. That resulted in development of a new first in class Electric All Terrain Mobile Platform (eATMP).

Every year through the University of Exeter we run multiple short student projects, allowing businesses to work with the next generation of engineers.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time working alongside Jake Rigby, BMT Research and Development Lead, and Prof Chris Smith from the University during my fourth-year project. I’ve always been very passionate about sustainability and this project has been the perfect opportunity for me to integrate this passion into my studies in a professional capacity and personally contribute to the development of cutting-edge green technologies.
The experience I gained and the connections I made have also given me a lot of confidence as a new graduate about to start my first job within the sustainability and renewables sector.”
The Centre for Future Clean Mobility partners with businesses to develop low-emissions, high-efficiency integrated power systems for applications in the marine, off-highway, rail, defence, and energy sectors.
