Two New Graduate Research Assistants Join the Centre!

Driving the next generation towards zero carbon

The Centre for Future Clean Mobility partners with businesses to develop low-emissions, high-efficiency integrated power systems for applications in the aerospace, automotive, marine, and rail sectors.

We are really pleased to welcome Ian Gray and Joseph Wright to CFCM as our new Graduate Research Assistants. A further six researchers will join us by this Christmas.

We are really pleased to welcome Ian Gray and Joseph Wright to CFCM as our new Graduate Research Assistants. A further six researchers will join us by this Christmas.

Ian studied his Masters in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Exeter. His Masters project focused on designing an underwater wireless charging system for marine vehicles and environments.

At CFCM Ian will be focusing on clean powertrain control systems for workboats and other maritime vessels. His interests are innovation of zero emissions vehicles and clean energy harvesting.

Joseph studied his Masters in Racing Engine System at Oxford Brookes University. He applied simulation methods to a BMW engine inlet manifold, for variable geometry to improve efficiency. He has done work on thermal simulation of the Prius drive motor.

At CFCM Joseph will be focusing on clean maritime powertrain simulation, assembly and test.
